One to one treatments allow You to have full attention and to dive deep in any aspect you want to work on. We will discuss your case previously and we will approach your issue in a very personal way. You will get a list of questions to answer and from there we will start to build up the work.

One to one work is suited for any kind of issue, be it physical (chronic diseases, allergies, chronic pain, …), emotional (trauma release, anxiety, general state of fear) and spiritual (feeling to want to reconnect to the Earth and Spirit).

 

What you need to bring:

-White/light brown comfortable clothes to wear during the duration of the ceremony

Buckets, Yoga mat, water and snack for after the treatment will be provided by me.

ORIGINS OF THE SAPO MEDICINE

Kambo is a medicine traditionally used by the indigenous populations of the Brazilian Amazonian Rainforest, the Matsés, who have been using its properties for millenniums.

This treatment involves the application of the secretion of the frog Maki (lat. Phyllomedusa bicolor), which has incredible effects on the human organism.

Because the secretion increments all the organic senses such as sight, hearing and smell, in its traditional context in the jungle the medicine is mostly used during hunting expedition, in order to connect the humans to their natural environment and to help them to move better in the wildness. Apart of this, we also find large applications of it in case of necessary treatment of maladies such as malaria and other infectious bacterial, as well to heal snakebites and to overcome infertility.

The Maki lives on the higher plants of the Selva. The indigenous people of the Tribes venture for days or even weeks in the jungle, where they then call and invoke the Sapo, in order to meet it and collect its secretion.

Traditionally, the secretion gets collected from the legs and from the belly of the frog, while leaving the back untouched, so that the Sapo itself can benefit from it. The medicine is then placed on little wood sticks, where, dried, will be preserved till its use, without ever losing its effectiveness.

Unfortunately nowadays, a time where the market of the Amazonian medicines is growing exponentially, more and more westerns break the delicate equilibrium of the traditional indigenous practices, and do so for profit and personal gain. There are more and more groups of people that don’t respect the sacred spirit of these medicines and creatures, which leads to an abuse of the frog, in situations where, for example, the secretion gets collected during the day even thought this would traumatize the Frog, as it is a nocturnal animal, or even cases in which the full secretion is collected also from the back, leaving the Frog without it for personal use.

That’s why it is really important to know from where the medicine comes from and what the intentions are behind the person that is serving it, in order to be sure that our own healing doesn’t happen on the expenses of someone else, in this case, a miraculous frog.

 

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATIONS

 

Thanks to the study of many different cases of application of the medicine, we can now say that Kambo has immense benefits in healing the human body.  Its positive effects are manifested in the strengthening of the immune system, in the healing and elimination of inflammatory processes, and in the purification and detoxification of human cells and their organs, as well as the inframuscular spaces and nerve endings, which often regenerate.

Positive effects were also observed in the cure of modern diseases such as migraine, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, rheumatic processes, hepatitis, arterial hypertension, intestinal tract diseases, joint problems, chronic pain states, as well as improvement and reduction in cancer cases.  .

This happens thanks to the fact that, when one undergoes a Kambo treatment, all food and environmental toxins, as well as toxins derived from toxic agents such as cigarettes, alcohol and drugs of any kind, as well as bad mental patterns and attitudes present in the body and mind are literally purged from the system.  Pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites are also combated and very often defeated.

Detailed description of the function of each peptide with the clarification that all of them together work symbiotically in a more complete and potentiated way than isolated, this is known as the «entourage effect» where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

 

Philomedusins ​​– such as Tachykinins (which also act as neuropeptides) – Produce contraction at the smooth muscle level and increase secretions from the entire gastrointestinal tract such as salivary glands, stomach, small and large intestine, pancreas and gallbladder.  They are primarily responsible for the deep purge produced by the administration of kambó.

 

Phyllokinins and Phyllomedusins ​​– both are potent vasodilators, increasing the permeability of the blood-brain barrier, both for their own access and for other active peptides.  Within this family are jellyfish, which also have antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

 

Caeruleins and Sauvaginas – These are peptides with chains of 40 amino acids, with myotropic properties on smooth muscle, producing contraction in the colon and urinary bladder.  They produce a drop in blood pressure accompanied by tachycardia.  They stimulate the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland, contributing to increased sensory perception and increased stamina.  Both peptides have great analgesic power, contribute to increasing physical strength, the ability to cope with physical pain, stress and illness, and reduce fatigue symptoms.  In the medical field, this family of peptides contributes to improving digestion, and has analgesic properties against pain in renal colic, pain due to peripheral vascular insufficiency, and tumor pain.

 

Dermorphins and deltorphins – These are small peptides made up of 7 amino acids.  They are selective opiate delta receptor agonists, 4000 times more potent than morphine and 40 times more than endogenous endorphins.

 

Adenoregulins – discovered in the 1990s by John Daly’s team at the National Institutes of Health in the United States.  Adenoregulin works in the human body through adenosine receptors, a critical component in all human cellular fuel.  These receptors may offer a target for the treatment of depression, strokes and diseases of cognitive loss, such as Alzheimer’s disease and also Parkinson’s.

 

Antimicrobial Peptides: Dermaseptins, including adenoregulins (with 33 amino acids), plasticins, and phylloseptins, are part of a family of broad-spectrum antimicrobial peptides involved in defending the bare skin of frogs against microbial invasion.  These are the first vertebrate peptides to show lethal effects against filamentous fungi responsible for severe opportunistic infections, accompanying immunodeficiency syndrome and the use of immunosuppressive agents.  They also show lethal effects against a broad spectrum of both gran+ and gran- bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and protozoa.  Several years of research carried out at the University of Paris have shown that the peptides Dermaseptin B2 and B3 are effective in the death (autolysis or cell suicide) of certain types of cancer cells.  Research at Queens University Belfast recently won a prestigious award for groundbreaking work on cancer and Kambo.  Its mechanism of action is produced by the inhibition of angiogenesis of tumor cells, with selective cytotoxicity for these cells.

 

Bradykinins – such as phyllokinins and tryptophyllins.  They are peptides with structure and properties similar to human bradykinin.  They are important sources of scientific study as they are hypotensive, because they produce vasodilation, contraction of non-vascular smooth muscle, increase vascular permeability and are also related to the mechanism of inflammatory pain.

 

Bombesins – these peptides stimulate the secretion of hydrochloric acid by acting on the G cells of the stomach, regardless of the pH of the medium;  they also increase pancreatic secretion, intestinal myoelectric activity, and smooth muscle contractility.

 

Ceruleins – Stimulate gastric, biliary and pancreatic secretions, and certain smooth muscles.  They could be used in paralytic ileus and as a diagnostic tool in pancreatic dysfunction.

 

Tryptophilins – are neuropeptides made from 4 to 14 amino acids, which are opening up new perspectives on how the human brain works.

According to the indigenous traditions, Kambo pushes away the “Panema”, a dark cloud who is thought to be responsible for bad luck and that often times attaches itself in the energetic field (Aura) of the humans. By cleansing the Aura from such bad vibrations, one can make its way back to its original state of wellbeing and regain luck and flow. In other words, without the negative effects of bad attachments to the Aura and soul, one can rediscover its true self, that is, the original and pure “I” that was whole before all life’s vicissitudes intervened to disturb its bio-rhythm.

 

As a consequence, Kambo gifts the mind with a sense of grounding and stability, which connects one with its core energy and life force. This absolutely helps to deal with conditions such as chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression and paranoia. A clear mind, tenacity, inner peace and harmony are often felt after the treatment.

It must be said that sometimes some time is needed after the treatment to adjust to the new “clean state”. Some people might experience a little restlessness or irritability after the first treatments. This happens because, as we live inside our handmade bubbles in order to hide from our true nature and true selves, and consequently, as we stay far away from our true nature and wishes, the fact that we suddenly have to deal with what is there for real, the fact that now we can feel ourselves, without masks, can be confusing. These less pleasant states usually don’t last longer than a few days and are gone mostly when the patient starts accepting the new state of things and is ready to embrace the process of letting go of its old self and patterns.

By getting rid of physical toxins one gets rid also of those low and dark frequencies that are commonly attached to them. Some time can be needed in order to embrace the light found instead.

In the body, the excess fat that is often bond to hormonal imbalance, unhealthy food patterns, nervous or emotional eating and so on, is considered “empty space”, and as such, it is subject to the attack and settlement of negative energies, the ones that literally nourish themselves from negative emotions and thus want to weaken and take control over our minds, in order to influence it and separate it from the ideal of communal receptivity and care.

Unfortunately, many different poisons, substances, patterns, bad coping mechanism that we consciously or unconsciously let into our systems influence our state of being. This can derive from toxic foods, toxic relations and situations, as well as unresolved traumas we find hard to let go of, all which vibrate on a very low frequency. Fear, anxiety, sadness, anger and all those mental states only separate us from that normally innate peace and quiet that is natural and typical of a balanced human being.

 

SPIRITUAL EFFECTS

Kambo is also called the “Fire of Transformation”, this is so because the energy of the frog is full of the element Fire, an influence one can feel in the awakening of the circulatory system and in the swelling of the throat immediately after the application of the medicine.

In ancient traditions, Fire has always been associated with transformation and removal of all that what is not necessary anymore, as well as to the warmth of life and the creative force of the sun.

Our body is associated to the element Earth because here happen all the processes necessary for the sustenance of life itself.

The Air element is found, spiritually, in our heads in the form of thoughts and physically in our lungs. During the treatment, a deepened and focused breathing process can sharpen the mind and enhance the effectiveness of the medicine.

The Fire of the Kambo connects with the Water element that is to be found in our bodies as all the body fluids, such as blood and lymphatic system, and in the spiritual form in the realm of our emotions. Through a strong alchemical process, the Fire starts the transformation by bonding with the Water, the Air and the Water present in our body, and this brings to a metamorphosis of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.

Kambo works incredibly to allow us to re-find a connection to our body, to our Earth, to our spirits and higher selves. It tenderly opens our heart, purifying it, and rinsing away all those negative feelings that prevent us from deeply feeling who we really are. Every life experience influences our beings, and often times it is indeed our traumas that keep us far from being able to listen to ourselves, in an attempt of protecting ourselves from something that could hurt us even more. As much as protect ourselves can be clever at times, it also prevents us from living fully.

What for the indigenous people is the Panema (the dark cloud), can be translated for us with “collecting garbage”, that is, our tendency to carry with us all the karmic and energetic luggages from our childhoods, families, life partners, angry work bosses or simply from all those humans that enter our lives with (conscious or unconscious) bad intentions.

There are many testimonies of patients that, after connecting with the frog, suddenly find the courage to live fully again, letting go of relationships, careers and situations that no longer are in tune with their deepest life call and true self.

NOTE TO WOMEN:

Often, after finishing the treatment with the Kambo, intense and strong pain, similar to that of a very heavy moon, can be felt in the womb. This happens because Kambo works deeper than on the mere physical plane: such pain is nothing else if not the release of all the accumulated sexual energies and traumas collected during intimate intercourses. Women have a collecting and containing energy for nature. Every sexual partner with which they decide to connect with and literally take in, will leave an imprint in their womb. Like this, good or less good intentions root in them. Kambo offers a total reset of such energies.

Another aspect women should know, is that their cycle could vary a bit after the treatment: some women get their moon immediately after the treatment, which indicates a strong continuous cleansing, others will miss a cycle. This is not mandatory, but happens often.

Once I asked my teacher why one should endure such a (sometimes) hard and intense process, why does it have to be painful and tough? I really loved his answer: ”The pain felt during a Kambo treatment is only the (finally) expressed pain of our traumas, things that are unconsciously active but consciously asleep in us. By finally giving them a voice to be expressed, we get rid of them.”.

 

PREPARATION BEFORE THE TREATMENT

Because Kambo works on different levels (physical, mental, energetic and spiritual), it is strongly advised to start a detox cleansing in the form of a diet some days before the actual Kambo treatment, in order to prepare body, mind and soul to the cleansing process.

The freer the physical body is from toxic agents and from its deriving energetically negative influences, the more one can dive deeper into the process, managing to start the work on the other mental, emotional and spiritual level quicker as well.

The physical detox during the treatment can be really intense, it is the most “material” part of the energy cleansing and as such, it can sometimes be the most physical and intense part. If the body is already switched to a state free of physical toxins (foods, chemicals, alcool, …), the whole process could be smoother.

Another point on the diet preparation is the power of change it can have on the mind: if one learns to control its own desires and cravings by renouncing to some foods and consumption patterns, one will find it easier to keep calm and focused during the actual Kambo process. It is about learning how to tame the mind by teaching it that it is us, our consciousness, that has the lead, and not our wishes or addictions.

 

DIET: to start at least three days before the treatment, as to have 72 hours body cleansing at least; if the diet is not followed, I won’t proceed with the treatment:

-vegan diet (no meat/fish/seafood, no eggs, no milk products)àthis is a very strict point: the low vibrations coming from animal abuse rest in the cells of our bodies; these nutrients are energetically really thick, which will make the purge thick as well; the body needs around 72 hours to digest and get rid of meat only; having such energies in the body will make the Kambo process really intense;

-no caffeine, theine or any stimulants.

-no alcohol, drugs, weeds.

-no white flour (reduction of flour in general).

-possibly no industrial sugars, no salt and food with spices.

-no fast-foods and fat foods.

-rice and legumes to a minimum.

-lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

-good hydration.

-no sexual intercourse 3 days previous and after the treatment.

 

FASTING: The Kambo treatment is usually made in the first half of the day, this because one must have a completely empty stomach before starting. The fasting time should start the night before and have a length of at least 12 hours. Water and tea with no sugar or honey are allowed.

 

ADMINISTRATION OF THE MEDICINE

Material necessary:

-at least 5 liters of natural water, possibly with less minerals;

-a glass;

-buckets for the purging (more than one will allow the practitioner to change them once they get full);

-meditation pillows;

-blankets for the relaxation;

-white/light brown clothes to wear during the ceremony, possibly in natural fibre;

 

The ideal position to receive Kambo is to sit on the heels (the meditation pillows to be put under the buttocks will help to keep the position and prevent pain in the knees). From this point the back can keep completely straight, which will allow the energy to flow freely while at the same time letting the stomach “be open”, so that the medicine can work better. It is important to note that the patient should still feel its body intuition and if the time comes where he or she wants to lay down, crawl or taking any other position, this should be allowed if it cannot be avoided.

Right before starting with the application of the medicine, the patient has to drink at least 1,5l of water, in order to allow the toxins present in the tissues, organs and muscles to bond with it and be, thus, expelled.

More important is to keep drinking during the process, something that can really be quite difficult. This is the task of a good practitioner, to support the patient by giving him or her the strength and the intention to drink more and more. The more the pathologies or energies are rooted into the being, the more there will be resistance into drinking more water during the process. This is so because many people identify themselves with their illnesses and patterns and have a hard time letting go of the “mask” that served them for so long; it is exactly in those moments where the mind screams “no more!” that one should push him or herself to drink more.

The purge should last till the patient feels the body and mind are completely empty. If there is even a little feeling that something is still stuck inside, then more water should be drunk or more points should be applied, to avoid carrying already moved but still attached energies back home.

Another sign that the process is coming to an end happens when the body starts to feel cold: this means that the Fire of the Frog is leaving and thus slowly finishing its mission.

 

To apply the secretion is necessary to open the gates, that means, to rub the superficial part of the epidermis as shown in the picture; this is done by the practitioner with the use of a little glowing wooden stick.

The location of the dots can vary: traditionally, the indigenous women get them on the left calf and the men on the left arm; I usually apply them on the left arm of both men and women, this because the position makes it more easy to apply extra dots in case it becomes necessary and prevents the patient from sliding on the dots and remove them from the skin.

The number of dots depends on the pathology one wants to work on, the weight of the patient and the intuition of the practitioner. For intense and strong cleansing, one could calculate 1 dot every 10kg of the patient. This is not a must do, mostly when people come for the first time, it is advisable to start with a lower dose of 2 to 4 points, so that the body and spirit can welcome the energy of the Frog without getting traumatized, something that can happen if the patient is forced to get rid of heavy stuff by the application of way too much medicine in one go.

An ideal is a set of three treatments to be done in between a moon cycle (28 days). In this way, one can start with 3 dots and grow to 5 and then 7. It is thought that, by working like this, one slowly starts the work on the physical level, then moves to the emotional and psychological levels.

After opening the gates on the skin, the dry secretion will be mixed with the saliva of the practitioner in order to be both activated and to create an energetical bond between the patient and the practitioner itself; it is then scratched from the little wood piece with the use of a spatula. The practitioner will then form some little balls with it, that are then directly applied on the gates.

 

THE PROCESS

A little after the application of the medicine on the skin, the activated peptides begin their effect on the whole organism thanks to the lymphatic system. In very few minutes there is an intense chain reaction happening all over the body: an electrical energy flows in the whole body, the cardiac beat increases and so does the body temperature, the throat gets swollen and in general one feels overwhelmed with sensations.

Sometimes, strong cramps can happen in the muscles of the legs or of the hands, a symptom that tells us that the Frog is working in those intramuscular areas;

During the process, it is important to let it happen, while at the same time keeping a focus on the breathing, letting it be deep and constant. The Air is the anchor to our Earth.

The purging happens automatically thanks to one of the peptides present in the Kambo. It should not be forced with fingers, even when there is the feeling it won’t come. We work here with things that go beyond the physical planes. The purge will come when the mind will be ready to let go of that given thing. To force out a purge is a way to traumatize the body and mind and will end up with a bad feeling after the treatment.

Sometimes it can happen that one has the urge to release from down in form of diarrhea. It is important to immediately inform the practitioner, so that he or she can help you stand up and guide you to the toilette.

If the patient suffers from stress, anxiety, or consumed a lot of chemicals in its life, a strong sweating reaction can be noted.

A swollen face usually comes when a patient is getting rid of very deep thinking patterns, as well as after using many painkillers in its life. The swollen can last for a couple of days.

In case one feels like fainting, it is very important to let it just happen. The practitioner will hold the patient into a straight position and will take care that all the life parameters are all right. Fainting indicates that there is a major energy or entity leaving the body, and that is the body protection as to not re-traumatize the mind with such a deep confrontation.

This very intense part of the Kambo process usually lasts for about 15 minutes.

Every ceremony is different, every body is different, every story is different. Some people feel powerful and under control during the treatment, others purge buckets and buckets of things with only one or two dots. It is very complicated both to understand and exactly explain how Kambo works. For experience I can only say that it always comes in the way it has to come and that the best results come when we just surrender and let it work through its innate intelligence and sensitivity.

It is important that the practitioner keeps being very present for the whole duration of the process. The more the patient feels safe, the easier it will be to let go of what is no longer serving it in its life path. The fact that someone undergoes such a strong and intense process works magically on the self awareness of the mind: after the treatment people usually feel stronger and more in control of themselves and their strengths. This works as a therapy for itself.

 

 

 

 

AFTER THE TREATMENT

Once the patient starts to cool down, the process approaches its end. Usually, it is good to let the patient rest and integrate for about 30/45 minutes. Some people are able to sleep in this time, others simply find themselves in peace and start to enjoy the new found state of things. The face becomes fresher, the eyes spark and all the body senses get sharper.

Some people feel very strong after the treatment, others need a good night sleep before feeling they are back to themselves. It is immensely important to listen to the needs of the body. Having a day of rest before jumping back into the routine is advisable.

It is good to keep energetically and physically lonely after Kambo. For at least 24 hours one should not hug anybody, this because all the things one got rid of during the process leave an empty space. Empty spaces are very sensitive and one should keep care to fill them up with good. Sun bathing, walking in a forest or beach, laying in the sand and generally enjoy a natural environment in aloneness are really good ideas for the after-Kambo.

 

The night of the treatment bathing with thick salt is advisable. Thick salt really helps to cleanse the aura and removes the last bit of toxins from the skin.

Going to sleep early (even when one feels full of energy) and occupying the mind with good, light and lovefull things is the best one can do. Social media, heavy phone calls and generally draining people should be avoided. The body and mind are reprogramming themselves in this time. It is good to give them good food from beginning and give oneself the time for integration.

 

The dots are closed by the practitioner by using the Sangre di Grado. They don’t need extra care after that. Coconut oil can be a good moisturizing tool, but in general it is just important to avoid direct soap contact and the urge to scratch away the crusts, as under those the medicine is still active and keeps working for some time.

 

Kambo works on mental blockages, on behavioural patterns and on the thinking processes regarding the self and the environment. The results of a Kambo treatment vary from person to person. Effects of it can last for weeks after the treatment. It happened in some people to get a little sick after the treatment, if it happens it is usually a fever. This means the energy is strongly still working in its cleansing mission! Fever is Fire and Kambo is Fire. But the majority of people feel lighter, more focued, stronger and balanced after the treatment.        Intuition is     belly’s language, healing is the expression of the heart.
